Consisting of twisted versions of some of your favorite DC Super Heroes, the Crime Syndicate is a threat that even the most formidable teams can’t tackle on their own. Many worlds have already fallen to their invasion with many more potentially on the way. In DC Worlds Collide, you’ll have a chance to face off against the various members of the Crime Syndicate in Evil Falls mode, where you’ll have to build teams to help defeat Ultraman, Superwoman and their allies before they take over the Earth. Let’s check out their roster.
Ultraman
Ultraman leads the Crime Syndicate and is perhaps their most formidable member. Kal-Il of Krypton is unlike Superman in almost every way. Kal-Il worships power and has come to Earth from the distant planet of Krypton to expand his business of crime. Ultraman’s powers include super-strength, invulnerability, heat vision, flight and more.
Tips: When battling against Ultraman, try to target his back row where damaging the Kryptonite crystals there can prevent him from powering up. Once the Kryptonite is destroyed, Ultraman becomes much more vulnerable. Characters like Harley Quinn, Green Arrow and Mirror Master who can target the back row are great choices against Ultraman.
Owlman
The ruthless Owlman reigns over Gotham City with an iron first. The fear he instills in the heart of the people is merely a tool to strengthen his dominance. Thomas Wayne Jr., the older brother of Bruce Wayne, who dies in most realities, lives on as a member of the Crime Syndicate. Owlman possesses a high intellect as well as the extreme wealth of the Wayne family which grants him access to some of the deadliest technology in the Multiverse including the Owlmobile and Antimatter Teleportation devices.
Tips: Watch out for Owlman’s Owlmobile! It shields him and replaces his basic attack with a sweeping attack that hits multiple characters. As Bleed does damage through shields, using characters that inflict Bleed is a great strategy against Owlman as destroying the Owlmobile stuns him leaving him open to attack. Deathstroke, Ocean Master and Two Face are great choices to put on your team to help take down Owlman quickly.
Superwoman
Stealing the identity of Lois Lane, Superwoman is actually Amazonian by birth. Wielding the Lasso of Submission, Lois Lane’s Superwoman possesses fatal charm. Manipulative and deadly, Superwoman is one of the most powerful and intimidating members of the Crime Syndicate. In addition to wielding the Lasso of Submission, Superwoman also possesses superhuman strength, invulnerability, flight and heat vision.
Tips: Superwoman gains resistance to Superpower damage as the fight progresses. It’s a good idea to assemble a team that relies more on Physical damage than anything else. Characters such as Nightwing, Red Hood and Batman are good choices to bring with you into battle.
Power Ring
Power Ring is the name used by Hal Jordan after he was seduced by the Power Ring’s cosmic might. Hal Jordan’s cowardice gave him extreme power and under the Power Ring’s control he took revenge upon the Multiverse. Power Ring can project and shape energy to manifest constructs of green light based on his willpower. These constructs can resemble anything that Power Ring desires from melee weapons to complex constructs.
Tips: Power Ring can be an incredibly tough member of the Crime Syndicate to topple with the ability to withstand mass amounts of Superpower Damage as well as summon constructs of Ultraman and Superwoman to aid him in battle. Single target characters such as Batman, Robin and Red Hood can quickly take down his constructs leaving him in a vulnerable state.
Johnny Quick
Born with enhanced speed which were further enhanced by a special helmet, Johnny Quick used his gifts to become one of the criminal members of the Crime Syndicate. Johnny Quick possesses superhuman speed, agility and reflexes. Due to his connection with the Speed Force Johnny Quick can freely phase through solid materials and has the potential to travel through dimensions.
Tips: Johnny Quick will become stunned and take extra damage if he’s inflicted with enough different debuffs. Try building a team of characters that can apply multiple debuffs to Quick, such as Raven, Gorilla Grodd and Sinestro.
Deathstorm
While Superman and the Justice League have battled against some of the worst threats imaginable, few compare to Deathstorm. This version of Martin Stein is the product of a dark science experiment in which he was infused with deadly nuclear energy. As the Crime Syndicate’s enforcer, Deathstorm uses his terrifying abilities to unleash devastating blasts of radiation.
Tips: Deathstorm’s Nuclear Field steals a portion of your team’s Healing and Sacrificed health, but can easily be overloaded if it absorbs too much. Stacking your team with characters that can heal such as Kid Flash and Black Canary can force Deathstorm’s Nuclear Field to backfire, causing him Superpower Damage.
